LPIC-1 Exam Data

The LPIC-1 Exam Data below are most of the details pertaining to the Linux Professional Institute’s LPIC-1 Exam. To be LPIC-1 certified, the two exams you need to pass are Exam 101-500  and Exam 102-500. The first one covers Main Domains 101 – 104 while the second one covers Main Domains 105 – 110 (see exam objectives below).

LPIC-1 is a Linux entry-level certification and as such there are no prerequisites for this certification.
This exam requires you to pass two exams: LPIC-1 Exam 101 and LPIC-1 Exam 102.
Exam codes: 101-500 and 102-500
Exam timer: 90-minutes – each exam
Number of exam questions: 60
Type of exam questions: Multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions.
Validity Period: 5 years unless you take a higher level LPI certification in the interim.
