A+ Certification is the most popular IT certification in the world with over two million having succeeded at this exam. The two main reasons for its large following is:
1) It is an entry-level credential and so applies to a lot of people, especially new entrants into the IT field.
2) It is vendor-neutral and so does not limit you to one manufacturer but rather gets you ready for the IT professional’s role.
A candidate needs to pass two exams in order to obtain the CompTIA A+ credential. The second exam is CompTIA A+ Core 2 Exam number 220-1002 – click here for A+ 220-1001 exam objectives. The CompTIA A+ 220-1002 exam tests you for the competencies typically expected of an entry-level IT professional with at least 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or the field. The A+ Core 2 exam 220-1002 will be launched in early 2019 January or February. The exam retirement date being three years plus the six months “grace period”, the retirement date will be around July 2022.
